It is a key objective of GARS as a charitable society to support young researchers in the field of economic and management related air transport research. For this purpose, GARS organises an annual Junior Workshop inviting Bachelor, Master and PhD students to present their work and to receive valuable and comprehensive feedback from an international group of well-established and experienced scientists. All submissions to the GARS Junior Workshop will be considered for the Best Paper competitions in the categories Bachelor/Master and PhD. The papers are assessed by an independent jury composed of distinguished scholars in the field of aviation economics and aviation management from around the globe, and the prize is awarded by the members of the Scientific Committee of the European Aviation Conference.
The prize money is sponsored by the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (Bachelor/Master up to 400 Euro and PhD up to 600 Euro) and book vouchers are sponsored by Routledge. The hand-over ceremony is held during the annual European Aviation Conference.
